How to Make Pork Loin with Gravy in a Slow Cooker

Youtube video

Aunt Lou here.

So two and a half years ago I shared a recipe with you guys. It is a recipe that I STILL talk about at least once or twice a month when someone asks me about cooking with my slow cookers. What is this recipe? Slow Cooker Steak with Gravy. It is so simple, yet ah-mazing! It is the first recipe that I recommend to people when they tell me they are starting out with their crock pot, but don’t know what to make or really how to use it.
Fast forward to our vacation, I had a pork loin and decided to bring it along with us to make something up while we were gone. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do with it. Then it hit me! I could take my all-time favorite recipe and adjust it to make with my pork loin! So, I give you Crock Pot Pork Loin with Gravy!

Crock Pot Pork Loin with Gravy Notes:

  • This Crock Pot Pork Loin with Gravy recipe adapted from Gooseberry Patch’s Speedy Slow Cooker Recipes is ah-mazing!
  • Pork loin is generally not a super tender cut of meat, so cooking it on low is optimal. It was literally falling apart with just a fork after 5 hours for me. I would recommend cooking it on low instead of high so you can let your crock pot work its magic and make it fall apart tender.
  • I used myย 2.5-quart crock potย for this yummy Crock Pot Pork Loin with Gravy recipe. It was the perfect size!
  • Check outย our favorite Slow Cookers, Pressure Cookers, Multi-Cookers and Air Fryersย in our Amazon Influencer Shop.
  • We now have an Instant Pot Version of this recipe too!
  • If you need more servings, you can double or even triple this recipe. You will, however, need to adjust your cooking time and use a larger crock pot. You can use a meat thermometer to know if your meat is done to help with adjusting your cooking time.
  • As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish. The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
  • All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline and shouldย always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.

I’ve made this several times. So easy and so Good! I get going at 10:30 and start on high for about 20 minutes to get things going. Put to low till dinner. Roast comes out very tender. Gravy makes itself. I serve with mashed potatoes, green veg and rolls. Looks like you went to much more trouble. I especially like to put this on when I know it’ll be busy later in the day. Dinner makes itself!

Hi Aunt Lou! Making this tonight for a College Passing Semester Celebration dinner. Have you ever cooked Onions, carrots, and potatoes with it. I’m using a 4 lb pork tenderloin

How much time do I add for 4.2 ib pirk loin

      Hi Stephen!

I haven’t tried it that way, but other readers have and liked it. I would bump up to a 4-quart crock pot for that big of a pork loin and watch it closely. In a larger slow cooker, I think the cooking time would be approximately the same. Enjoy!

I made this with a 4 pound pork roast and added a little bit more of the ingredients and also added some mushrooms and onion. I cooked it for almost 6 hours on low and it was fantastic!

  6. Trying it now. My Pork is a bit over 4 lbs so I doubled it. I use the brown gravy powder in a are. Hoping doubling that doesn’t make the to salty. Doubled water too. Wlyk

Thanks for your recipe I going to make it tomorrow. I’ve got a 6 lb loin and a 9 quart cooker. Going to cut the loin in 1.5 lb sections for cooking. It helps cooking time and tenderness.

Currently, I’m on a Low Carb Diet. I’m not going to add the can of soup due to High Carbs. Going to substitute real sliced mushrooms (1 lb) and chopped onions. Going to add a melted mixture of 1 stick butter and 1 cup half & half heated in microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well to blend. I’m then then going to add 1/2 cup Almond Flour. I’ll spice the loin with salt and pepper, then pour the my mixture over the loin.

Next, I’ll pour four cups of water in microwave safe container, add 4 cubes of chicken broth. Heat for 3-4 minutes. Stir well to dissolve cubes. I pour this around the outside of the loin.

If you like it spicy, add a sliced into the pot!

  8. Can i use tenderloin instead of the bigger pork roasts? Would i have to do anything differently?

      Hi Amber!

I used a loin that was only between 1 and 2 lbs, so a tenderloin of the same weight would probably have about the same cooking time. I would guess it will be fall-apart tender and super yummy! Enjoy!
